Dining out can be all about good food and fine comfortable surroundings…or is it the other way around!
Either way Grange Lodge provides the backdrop from a bygone era and whilst it is sometimes difficult to define Norah’s style of cooking its more then sufficient to say that her flair for presentation, combined with her natural talent in being able to use more traditional recipes, some of them indeed handed down to her by mother, and with more ingredients locally sourced enables her to set them before you in a very appetising way.
We are fully licenced and regularly provide fine dining facilities for small intimate Weddings, Corporate Events and Private Dinner Parties.
Whatever the occasion we will do our best to provide you with superb hospitality, menus tailored to suit, with the emphasis on excellent food and very exclusively private surroundings.
If you are staying overnight and having dinner, most guests meet up in ‘The Den’ or the larger Drawing Room complete with log fires during the winter, for pre- dinner drinks around 7.00pm followed by dinner between 7.30 – 8.00 pm in either of two dining rooms.
The smaller of the two and incidentally, one of the oldest rooms in the house, is really cosy during the Winter, whilst the other very much larger dining room overlooks much of the gardens and is particularly bright and airy for either breakfast or dinner during the Summer.
